Hello lovelies, how are y'all doing? My week has been eventful so far with the MCSA (Mass Communication Students' Association) week going on in the University of Lagos [UNILAG] - from the cooking competition to the eating competition...I'd love to upload the video here but - it's enormous!...well, The Nigeria Student Fashion and Design Week (NSFDW) begins this Friday and Saturday, the 12th and 13th of August at Unilag's Indoor Sports Center. Last year's event was so interesting...you just have to be there on the 12th and 13th - I'll be there
Today's post is about a piece I designed during my long holiday (lol) - you know what I'm talking about and yeah - I design clothes too. It's been on lowkey because I'm less free because of school but I'm working on something which should be out (hopefully) before the year runs out.
It started months back when one of my cousins was about to wed and the topic of "what to wear" popped up. Since i don't really attend parties [That was the 2nd or 3rd wedding i've ever attended]. So as you know in Naija the alternative uniform for yoruba angels at wedding apart from the agbada is the all white native but i definitely don't want to go to an outing look like everyone else though i felt like going in an all black [i think it's forbidden or something] hence the decision to mix both together. I think i did a great job - i want to know what you think about it too so please use the comment box below. Have a lovely week and stay inspired.
